Trinis Online

Trinbagonians love to talk, discuss and argue and what better
place to do so, than on the Net, which provides them the opportunity to be incognito, with a huge, captive and anonymous audience. I often wonder if Trinis had a hand in developing the Internet. Before its inception, we had our own style of rapid communication, affectionately called, 'niggagram.' Bits of gossip would travel the length and breath of the island, in what seemed to be a flash..... and would return to the original sender completely different, in content and characterisation. It is therefore easy to comprehend the ease, with which Trinis have adapted to the Internet. Trinis are by nature, very creative, which is manifested in the beautifully crafted costumes at Carnival time. The Internet has provided them with another means to illustrate their creativity, for in the Net's short existence, Trinis have produced websites that are not only aestetically beautiful but are excellent in content also. On this page, we hope to provide what we consider to be, the best sites in terms of content and aestetics. We hope that after browsing these sites, you would have gained some knowledge of our country, and an insight to understanding our peoples, our cultural heritage and our peculiarities. If you have a favorite link that you think should be added to our list, please write us at alloy_m@hotmail.com
